Drafting of the Statute and Membership Regulation for the Adult Learning and Education Network in Kosovo – ALE NK

From March 9–11, 2023, the members of the ALE NK network organized a three-day workshop dedicated to drafting the Statute and Membership Regulation for the Adult Learning and Education Network in Kosovo – ALE NK.
The workshop was attended by nine participants—representatives of public and non-public institutions, as well as NGOs, who are members and co-founders of the Adult Learning and Education Network in Kosovo (ALE NK), including:

• Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI)
• Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE)
• Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo (EARK)
• Kosova Education Center – KEC
• Youth Center – Hareja
• DVV International

The process of drafting the Statute and Membership Regulation began with an analysis of similar documents previously used by various institutions in the country. Based on these practices, the participants prepared a draft version of the ALE NK Statute and Regulation.
The drafted document includes essential information about the ALE NK Network, including: the founding members, purpose, criteria and procedures for membership (based on the network’s internal regulation), the structure and function of the Governing Board, board meetings, mandate, dissolution process, procedures for amending the Statute, reporting period, financial year, and more.

During the workshop, the official logo and seal of the network were approved. The logo, designed as a combination of text and visual elements, aims to clearly and meaningfully represent the identity and mission of ALE NK. It will serve as the main symbol of the network in all communications and public appearances.

Therefore, the primary goal of the Network is to ensure sustainable and effective cooperation between the responsible ministries and various public and non-public actors in the field of Adult Education, with the aim of institutionalizing and creating an intersectoral approach to adult education and lifelong learning in Kosovo.

As part of the implementation of this project, ALE NK is in the process of identifying motivated individuals who are willing to contribute to the further development and expansion of the Network. Membership in this network remains open to all organizations and institutions that share a common interest with the mission of ALE NK.
