Mission of the Adult Learning and Education Network in Kosovo – ALE NK
- Promoting diverse and flexible approaches to adult learning for all age groups. Ensuring that opportunities for Adult Education and Lifelong Learning are inclusive and responsive to the changing needs of society and the labor market.
- Building an inclusive governance structure where state bodies (ministries, agencies, municipalities, educational institutions) and non-state actors (NGOs, private providers, community groups) collaboratively develop policies and programs for youth and adult education. Encouraging regular dialogue, establishing common standards, and joint monitoring.
- Fostering high-quality learning environments through shared resources and quality assurance frameworks. Supporting innovation in andragogy and pedagogy, as well as the use of digital technologies and learner-centered methodologies.
- Positioning adult education as a driving force for social cohesion, democratic participation, and the empowerment of marginalized groups. Engaging local organizations to link education with real-life challenges.
- Promoting a sustainable funding model for adult education, with contributions from public, private, and civil society actors. Ensuring funding mechanisms support long-term development and broader access to adult education.
- Developing systems for the recognition of prior learning (RPL) and non-formal education across all sectors. Creating accessible pathways between formal, non-formal, and informal education. State institutions to ensure policies, regulations, and public funding, together with other non-state actors, foster flexibility, innovation, and strong connections with individuals and communities.
